May peace be with you in this time of sorrow. Obituaries Community Farewell MILTON, EARL B. Pinckney, Michigan His Earl Bourland Milton, age 97, of Pinckney, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Brighton, Ml. Earl was born March 16, 1918, in Ozark, Arkansas to Earl and Eunice (Johnson) Milton. On April 16, 1942, in Tucson, Arizona, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Kathleen Spencer.

Earl (EB) spent his early years in Arkansas and Texas, where he rode horses and learned to love the outdoors. As a teenager in Detroit, he met his future wife, Elizabeth (Bette). As a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army in WWII he trained soldiers for winter warfare.

EB and Bette raised their five sons in Detroit before moving to Pinckney in 1964. EB drove gravel and salt trucks for a living; enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling stories; and loved his large extended family. From the Milton Family to Our Dad, Gpa (as he was lovingly called), Great grandfather, and friend, you were an incredible person. Your gentle soul and bright smile made everything from a home-cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs to Trot-a-Little Horsey, from a game of cribbage to falling asleep on your lap, the best experience. Your boys loved those summer "ride alongs" with you driving the loads.

You turned a kid into an adult during those times. You were caring, loving, and a hero to all. You raised amazing boys that turned into loving fathers and wonderful grandfathers. There are many lessons from America's Greatest Generation that will not be lost. The many generations will carry on your steadfast and kind-hearted spirit.

Your genuine generous, kind, and humble nature will continue. You will be greatly missed by those you touched, your love has spread beyond the family and your welcoming joy has affected an entire community. We love you and will miss you always, thank you for your 97 years. See you at the rest area. His Earl is survived by his sons, Earl (Chris), Kendell (Mary), Gary (Marcy), Mark (Cyndy), and Tim (Kathi); 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Age 93 of Howell, surrounded by family, went to be with Jesus on September 18, 2015. She took a piece of our heart with her as she entered heaven and heard her Savior say, "Well done my good and faithful servant." God gave her loved ones a sign as she left this earth at 1:58 a.m. (1 true God, 5 for grace to go on without her, and 8 for her new beginning). At the time of Sarah's death, her Rose of Sharon bush looked dead, but then we saw one beautiful bloom.

My mom may have looked dead but she is alive with the King of all Kings, finally able to dance, sing, and be pain free. Sarah was the daughter of John and Harriet (Kellogg) Raymond; the beloved wife, soul mate and best friend of Raynald H. Raymond whom she married on May 16, 1942; precious most loving mother of Morris (preceded her in death), Ronald (Linda), Harry, Gene, Suzanne Lanning (Ray), Mark (Carol), Matthew (Susie), Marie Johnson, Luke, and Janet Weitzel (Dave).
